Reflets de Cissac Haut-Médoc 2017
Christened by Hugh Johnson as "undoubtedly the pillar of the bourgeoisie", Château Cissac, located in the Haut-Médoc, is certainly one of Bordeaux's more traditional producers. Reflets de Cissac is the Châteaus second wine, which, whilst still a traditional ‘cigar box and cedar’ style, is less tannic and dense and consequently more approachable. Deep coloured with a nose of cooked fruits and fine oak, the palate is quite generous, with cassis and cedar notes, some dried tobacco, and fine tannins.
