Château Grand Moulin Macquin 2019
The vineyards of Château Grand Moulin Macquin Montagne Saint-Emilion are located just northeast of Saint-Émilion, on the right bank of the Barbonne river. They are part of the "satellites" of the Saint-Émilion vineyards which were granted an A.O.C in 1936. The vines are now approaching 40 years old and Francois Rambauld proceeds with a green harvest to ensure good maturity. At the winery the wine is aged in oak for twelve to fourteen months before bottling. A blend dominated by the Merlot grape and balanced alongside a portion of Cabernet Sauvignon, Château Grand Moulin Macquin seduces with its fruitiness and silky tannins. Fresh and fruity flavours on the nose, soft and generous on the palate, it can be cellared for up to 10 years.
