Château la Courolle | Montagne St-Émilion
Château la Courolle is situated on the plateau of Montagne St-Emilion on clay-limestone soil, similar to those found in St-Emilion itself. The vineyards of Château La Courolle are planted at 6,000 vines per hectare with 70% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Cabernet Franc.
Montagne St-Emilion, at the very centre of the Saint Emilion region, is steeped in the tradition of winemaking, the vignerons fiercely proud of its terroir and tradition. It is here that the Guimberteau family has been involved in wine production for over 100 years and the current steward of the family domaines, Rodolphe Guimberteau, is the fourth generation.
