Château La Fleur des Graves | Graves de Vayres

Château Goudichaud in Graves de Vayres, Entre-Deux-Mers in Bordeaux

Château La Fleur des Graves was purchased in 2002 by the Glotin family, owners of neighbouring Château Goudichaud, who promptly set about creating a unique wine storehouse within Goudichaud to be used exclusively for the wine making of the Château La Fleur des Graves wines.

The grapes, coming from the slopes, are treated with special care to obtain the best of the local terroir. Besides the extremely low yields (25Hl per hectare), the vines are disbudded, thinned out of their leaves and manually trained. The wine storehouse is composed of 200 litre stainless steel vats with temperature control. The small volume of the vats allows the wine to be made manually so as to rediscover in the wines the structure and the aromatic finesse, too often lost in large scale modern winemaking enterprises.
