Château La Violette | Pomerol
Purchased by Catherine Péré Vergé in 2006, Château La Violette is a small vineyard located on the top of the Pomerol plateau not far from Château Le Pin and Château Trotanoy. The vineyard is now planted entirely with old vine Merlot some of which is close to 60 years old and with some vines being even older. Château La Violette has no winery or cellars, the wines are made at Chateau Le Gay, one of Péré Vergé's other Pomerol estates. Production is tiny and as such La Violette is hard to find......but well worth the search!
