Château Roubine | Provence
Château Roubine can trace its history back to the beginning of the 14th Century, when it was the property of the Order of the Templars before being ceded to the Order of Saint John of Jerusalem. Since the 15th century, Château Roubine has become the pride of various great Provençal families. It is a glorious 82-hectare property sitting in its own bowl right in the heart of Provence near the pretty town of Lorgues and has been under the ownership of the dynamic Valérie Rousselle since 1994.
In 1955, Château Roubine was one of the 23 wine estates recognised by decree as "Cru Classé" of the Côtes de Provence. The Templar coat of arms traces the history of the estate: the Dragon, the symbolic animal of Draguignan and the Lion, the symbolic animal of Lorgues protected by the rays of the Provence sun.
