Djokovic Winery | Šumadija

Planted and built by the world famous tennis star (Novak Djokovic), Djokovic Wines craft exceptional wines from Syrah and Chardonnay grapes cultivated on their vineyard near Topola, nestled in the renowned wine-producing region of Šumadija, Central Serbia. Producing only 40,000 bottles per year they prioritise quality over quantity.

Wine making in this area of Serbia is thought to have its origins in Roman times, who found the rolling hills fertile with a variety of mixed soil types and micro-climates which provided perfect conditions for the production of wine. Today, Novak's uncle and the head of the winery, Goran Djokovic says "in one sense, we are not starting anything new here, we are continuing a Serbian tradition that goes back centuries."
