Domaine Anne et Hervé Sigaut | Chambolle-Musigny
Anne and Hervé Sigaut took over this 7-hectare property in 1990, and in recent years they have undertaken a total transformation of domaine. Lately, the wines have been amongst the finest in the village as a series of brilliant reviews has attested. They have always had wonderfully sited old vines, but they now work organically from flowering onwards and yields have been significantly reduced. They follow the lunar calendar and, in some of their vineyards, plough by horse. With minimal intervention in the winery, a judicious usage of new oak and only one racking prior to bottling without fining or filtration, the Sigauts are quietly making some of the most well-defined, thoroughbred wines in Chambolle.
