Domaine Bonneau du Martray | Corton Charlemagne
Domaine Bonneau du Martray is located in the Côte de Beune region of Burgundy and posses one of the largest single vineyard holdings on the unmistakable hill of Corton. The 9.5 hectares of Corton Charlemagne vineyard is exactly the same piece of land which was gifted by the Emperor Charlemagne in 775AD to the Abbey of Saulieu.
Today, Domaine Bonneau du Martray is owned by the Le Bault de la Morinière family, only the third set of owners in twelve centuries. Jean-Charles Le Bault de la Morinière took over the management of the Domaine in 1994 and was determined to make an impact, preserving, protecting and improving natural terroir. After many years of experimentation and no use of pesticides or herbicides the domaine is now totally biodynamic. Domaine Bonneau du Martray Corton Charlemagne Grand Cru is regarded as one of the most sumptuous of all white Burgundies.
