Domaine des Terres Dorées | Beaujolais

The winery building of Jean-Paul Brun Domaine des Terres Dorrées, Beaujolais

Domaine des Terres Dorées, owned and run by Jean-Paul Brun since 1977, has become one of Beaujolais' pre-eminent traditional Domaines. Located in Charnay, a beautiful village in Southern Beaujolais just north of Lyons, Terres Dorées takes its name from the local 'Golden Stones' that are found in the region. Jean-Paul adopts an approach to making wine that is ‘atypique’ for the region (more Burgundian in style), crafting wines of beauty and sensuality but with real age-worthy structure. His viticulture is organic, grapes are de-stemmed, fermented with indigenous yeasts and macerated for 3-4 weeks. The wine is then aged in a mixture of concrete tanks and used oak barrels. These are wines that charm and seduce yet burst with energy and character. The wines of Jean-Paul Brun and Domaine des Terres Dorées are some of the most moreish and complete Beaujolais’ you will ever taste!
