Domaine du Grand Cros | Provence
Jane and Hugh Faulkner fell in love with Domaine du Grand Cros, located in a pretty corner of Provence, back in the late 1980's. Surrounded by pine and olive trees and dry stone terraces its vineyards were planted over the foothills of the Massif des Maures. Slowly they restored the property and then in 1999, their son Julian took over the running of the domaine. He has since carried out major restructuring of the vineyards and upgraded the winery all with the goal of obtaining the best results from the local terroir and surrounding natural environment.
Julian has strived to blend science and art. However science does not have answers to everything and it's at that point that his instinct as a winemaker takes over. He makes quality wines, that reflect very much the domaine's style, spirit and personality.
