Domaine Tollot-Beaut Corton Bressandes Grand Cru
The freestanding hill of Corton, which overlooks the rest of the Côte de Beaune to the south, is a visually impressive Grand Cru. Here, producers of Corton have the option of labelling their wine as simply “Corton,” or adding the name of one of 28 individual climats that make up this Corton Grand Cru. The Grand Cru Corton Bressandes is a well-known, east-facing climat with high limestone content. Domaine Tollot-Beauts Bressandes is highly expressive, firm, and powerful thanks to the high limestone content of its soil. Often cited as one of the very best climats on the Corton hill, it shows aromas and flavours of red and blackberry liqueur, earthiness, flowers, and herbs with powerful tannins. This wine will reward long ageing in a temperature controlled cellar.
