Herdade da Lisboa Vineyards in the Alentejo region of Portugal

Since 2011, Herdade da Lisboa has been the Cardoso Family's place in Vidigueira, in the Baixo Alentejo sub-region of Portugal. A place where the modernity of the winery meets the tradition of the Alentejo cellars and where the diversity of viticulture adds to the permanent evolution of oenology.

The estate covers approximately 100 hectares of vineyards and combines a diverse mix of typical Alentejo grape varieties and international varieties, including seven varieties of white and eight red grapes.

Built from scratch in 2018, the state of the art winery is equipped with an innovative grape maceration system, as well as the modern cement vats - oval and round in shape - which allow the production of different styles of wines. In the cellar, there is also the capacity for cooling the grapes upon arrival and for individual vinification of each variety. The cellar also has an integrated temperature and humidity control system that creates excellent aging conditions for wines, whether in barrels or bottles and also sparkling wines.

Herdade da Lisboa is now a place where the work and investment carried out by the Cardoso Family is allowing the recovery of iconic wines and the development of new wines that express the true strength of the Alentejo region.
