India

India has a long history of winemaking dating back to the Bronze Age; however, it wasn’t until the turn of the 21st Century that demand for Indian wines really took off. The city of Nashik, in the state of Maharashtra, is know to the locals as the ‘Wine Capital of India’ and it is here that international grape varieties such as Shiraz, Sauvignon Blanc, Chenin Blanc and Viognier are grown.

Sula Vineyards produces these international wines that have received critical acclaim, with the Wine Enthusiast giving both of the the winery's Shiraz more than 90 points.
