Larry Cherubino | Margaret River
Larry Cherubino Wines was only established in 2005, but the significant success they have achieved over the past decade is the culmination of more than 20 years’ observation and work, both in Australia and across the major wine-producing regions of the world.
Larry is renowned for his passionate commitment to maximising wine quality in both vineyard and winery, his state of the art technical knowledge and for having a highly developed understanding of modern wine styles. A graduate of Roseworthy College, Larry has had a distinguished career with BRL Hardy at Tintara in South Australia and then at Houghton in Western Australia, where his wines won hundreds of awards in the highly competitive Australian and International wine show system.
Named 'Winery of the Year' in James Halliday's 2011 Wine Companion, Larry Cherubino wants his wines to be distinctive and to speak clearly of their variety and vineyard site. He believes in spending time in the vineyard, in paying attention to canopy and water management and most importantly, picking at the right time with minimal intervention in the winery.
From delicate whites to big reds, his wines have class and finesse. The prestigious Australian producer also makes wine under the Laissez Faire label. An exquisite range of natural wines which are the ultimate expression of natural winemaking, made in small batches from hand-harvested grapes.
Most recently Larry Cherubino Wines were awarded 'Best Value Winery 2017' in James Halliday's Wine Companion.
