Leftfield | Hawkes Bay

The Leftfield Estate is located in the Gimblett Gravels area of Hawkes Bay set against a backdrop of beautiful vineyards. Founded in 1992 by the Lawson family it joined the Villa Maria Family of Wineries in 2012. The winemaking focuses on gentle handling of fruit, minimal movements of wine and slow maturation in a cool cellar environment. Many fruit parcels are hand picked and pressed directly to barrel and tank for the whites and de-stemmed to open fermentors for reds.

Grapes are sourced from within the Leftfield Estate, located on the southern edge of the Gimblett Gravels area of Hawkes Bay, as well as other premium vineyards in Gisborne and Marlborough. The winemaking team at Leftfield have total freedom to push creative boundaries and explore unusual blends and novel techniques to create deliciously different New Zealand wines.
