Mount Langi Ghiran 'Billi Billi' Shiraz 2021
The Mount Langi Ghiran 'Billi Billi' Shiraz is a great everyday drinking wine, with a strong sense of variety and vintage. The fruit for Billi Billi is predominantly from the Mount Langi Ghiran vineyards in The Grampians, Victoria with a supporting role played by Shiraz growers from Heathcote, Bendigo and Swan Hill. At the winery whole berries were transferred to large concrete and smaller open-top fermenters where plunging or pumping-over occurred three times a day until fermentation was complete. Malolactic conversion occurred mostly in tank with the dry wine racked to used French oak puncheons and barriques where it matured for 12 months. Mount Langi Ghiran Billi Billi is an elegant Shiraz, with rich aromas of red and black fruits underpinned by spicy tones through to a luscious palate, with fine tannins and signature black pepper.
