Tormaresca 'Furia di Califuria' Rosato 2022
Tormaresca's 'Furia di Calafuria' is crafted to celebrate the refined and excellent quality of Apulian rosé wines. The name Furia (fury in English) is a reference to the energy and beauty of natural elements; its extraordinary spirit is elegant and graceful; the wine expresses a perfect balance of its contrasting elements. The wine is a blend of Negroamaro, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes sourced from the Masseria Maìme estate in San Pietro Vernotico. Each grape variety was hand harvested separately, de-stemmed, and gently pressed. After several months of aging on the lees in stainless steel vats and after meticulous tastings, the various lots were blended. The wine was then bottled and later released for sale. Furia di Calafuria is a delicate peach blossom-pink colour. On the nose, its alluring bouquet offers aromas of nectarines, pineapples, and pink grapefruits accompanied by floral sensations of violets and lemon balm. The palate is fresh and savoury, closing with a refreshing citrusy finish.
