Frog's Leap, under the stewardship of John Williams, has been a leading proponent of sustainable and organic farming in Napa Valley for decades. Their commitment to dry farming (avoiding irrigation) forces the vine roots deep into the soil, resulting in grapes that express intense, concentrated flavour and wines with fantastic structure and minerality. This Sauvignon Blanc is a pristine expression of their philosophy: clean, crisp, and beautifully balanced, offering the vibrant fruit of California without sacrificing the structure of the Old World. On the nose expect clean, bright aromas of grapefruit, lime zest, honeydew melon, and a delicate touch of wet stone and fresh herbs. The palate is zesty and vibrant, initially soft and inviting and then leading to a long, clean, mineral-driven finish. The dry farming gives the wine a lovely textural depth that stands out.
