Quinta do Crasto | Douro Valley, Portugal
Situated on the right bank of the river Douro, half way between Regua and Pinhao, Quinta do Crasto has been owned by the Almeida family since 1910. Originally the quinta sold all its wines to shippers until Jorge Roquette took over responsibility after marrying into the family, and ploughed great finance and effort into modernising the vineyards and winery.
Continued investments have been made at Quinta do Crasto over the last few years to restructure the vineyards and install modern winery equipment, guaranteeing the production of high quality table wines, single vineyard wines and top port wine categories such as Late Bottled Vintage and Vintage Port.
