Nestled amongst traditional boatbuilders on Island Street, Salcombe, at one of the world's only distilleries directly accessible by boat, Salcombe Distilling Co. continues Salcombe's legacy of producing outstanding handcrafted products made with unrivalled passion, care and attention to detail.
Co-founders Howard Davies and Angus Lugsdin met teaching sailing in Salcombe over 20 years ago. Since launching Salcombe Gin ‘Start Point’ in 2016, they have built a distillery and bar serving ‘Salcombe & Tonics’ overlooking the water and launched the first Gin School in the South West of England at their premises in Island Street, Salcombe. Using only the finest hand sourced ingredients, Salcombe Gin is made using thirteen carefully selected botanicals distilled in Provident, a beautiful 450 litre copper pot still with English wheat spirit and blended with pure Dartmoor water. The end result is a gin of extraordinary quality and elegance with no compromise.
