Gordon & MacPhail Connoisseurs Choice 22 Year Old Tormore Cask Strength Single Malt Whisky
This Gordon & MacPhail Connoisseurs Choice Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky is from the Tormore Distillery. Filled in 2000 and matured in a first-fill Bourbon barrel it has been aged for 22 years before being bottled in January 2023 at its original cask strength of 58.8%. Vanilla fudge aromas lead to lemon and lime with notes of malted biscuit. Candied peel flavours combine with pineapple and white chocolate. A medium-bodied finish with brown sugar and oak. The Connoisseurs Choice range was created in 1968 by George Urquhart to showcase the seldom seen single malts when most whisky was used for blends. Over the decades, this pioneering range has featured more than 2,000 bottlings from almost 100 Scottish distilleries. Always non-chill filtered, these rare single cask and small batch expressions have been created in the relentless pursuit of perfection.
