Mandrarossa 'Costadune' Nero d'Avola 2023
The vineyards for Mandrarossa's 'Costadune' Nero d'Avola are located in the area around Menfi on the south-western coast of Sicily. The grapes were harvested by hand and fermented in stainless-steel tanks, with six to eight days of skin contact. Post fermentation maceration was carried out with frequent tasting to ensure the extraction of soft tannins. The wine was then aged for three to five months in stainless-steel tanks before bottling. On the nose, it has aromas of black cherries, plums and red berries. The palate is velvety with intense fruit flavours of plums and red berries.
