Sidebar Cellars By David Ramey | California

Sidebar Cellars is the second label of David Ramey and Ramey Wine Cellars. It is the product of the Ramey team’s desire to have some fun and a little instant gratification while waiting for the Ramey Wine Cellars bottlings' to mature. These wines also play into David Ramey’s history with Sauvignon Blanc as the flagship varietal. David made some of the most well-known Sauvignon Blanc in California’s history at Matanzas Creek and Chalk Hill back in the 80s and 90s.

The sidebar wines are classically styled in keeping with the Ramey philosophy and tradition. Apart from the dedication to deliciousness and quality, Sidebar Cellars remains distinct from Ramey in its varietals and tempo, and to be considered under a different set of values. Sidebar varietals are invitingly fresh and satisfying in their youth - brightness is key here. These are wines best drunk young with all their varietal vigour intact.
