Blair Athol is an ancient Highland malt whisky dating from 1798 and is to be found at one of the most scenic regions in Scotland. Standing at the gateway to the Scottish Highlands in the foothills of the Grampian mountains, the distillery is nestled in the picturesque town of Pitlochry, Perthshire. Here, the peaty land is comprised of rugged peaks and heather-covered moorland. Geographically, the area is one the largest whisky-producing regions, yet Blair Athol whisky holds its own against the other warm, rounded single malt whiskies produced nearby. Blair Athol 12 Year Old Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky is full, rich and spicy in style. Slightly dry on the finish with lots of sherry notes and a slight hint of minty herbal notes. An interesting whisky with an unusual sweet aftertaste.
