Soto Manrique | Cebreros

Soto Manrique Vineyards in the DO Cebreros, Spain

The Soto Manrique family first came to winemaking in Rueda, but as the second generation has joined the business, they have turned their attention to producing wines in the Cebreros DO, located in the Sierra de Gredos range to the west of Madrid. This up-and-coming region is starting to gain plaudits for producing a unique style of Garnacha, with an almost Pinot-like elegance and finesse, crafted from old vines planted on granite and slate soils. Alongside this they also cultivate the indigenous Albillo Real, an aromatic white grape, here given a spell of skin contact to add structure and complexity.
