Bodegas Pujanza 'Hado' Rioja 2019
Hado Rioja is a Tempranillo that is the ideal introduction to the style of Pujanza wines. It is a direct, up-front fresh style of wine representative of the Laguardia region. Hado is the only one of the Pujanza wines which is made from grapes from several different vineyards, split into 23 plots, which allows the final coupage to be varied every year depending on the particular features of the vintage. Matured for 12 months in French oak the wine displays the characteristic red-berry fruit aromas of the local Tempranillo to the fore, with floral and very subtle light toasted notes coming through. On the palate Hado is bold, rich and powerful, but with good acidity to keep it fresh and easy to drink, with lovely polished tannins.
