Hunter's Stoneburn Vineyard in the Wairau Valley of Marlborough, New Zealand

Stoneburn Vineyard was established in the heart of Marlborough’s famous Wairau Valley in 1989 on a stony riverbed site. Here the old riverbed stones retain warmth and give the fruit a high degree of ripeness. The Sauvignon Blanc and the Pinot Noir both benefit from this microclimate and deliver great expression of flavour at a very modest price.

Stoneburn is owned by Hunter's (who named it after their Scottish heritage) but operated separately and the vineyard has gone from strength to strength in terms of production and quality. Over the years Stoneburn wines have won a number of medals at wine shows around the world.
