Condado de Haza Ribera del Duero Crianza 2020
Condado de Haza was one of Spain's first château-style wineries, with all of its vineyards surrounding the winery. They focus on sustainable farming practices with a special emphasis on preserving the regional biodiversity. Pure Tempranillo, matured for 14 months in American oak barrels the Condado de Haza Crianza displays intense aromas of ripe red berry and black fruits. Liquorice notes, typical of the Tempranillo grape variety, also come through. Sweet, roasted coffee bean aromas follow with hints of vanilla and touches of spice. The palate is full and silky with perfectly integrated acidity and very pleasant, gentle tannins. Black fruit flavours, with blackberry in particular, lead into a long creamy finish. The oak is nicely integrated, expressing notes of toast and vanilla, characteristic of a wine aged in American oak barrels.
