Viña Ventolera | Leyda Valley

Viña Ventolera Winery in Leyda Valley

Founded in 2008, Viña Ventolera is a family-owned estate and winery located in Chile's cool climate coastal Leyda Valley. In 2011, one of Chile's finest winemakers Stefano Gandolini, joined Ventolera as a partner and Chief Winemaker and his commitment to produce world-class wines is evident in the outstanding quality of his Sauvignon Blancs and Pinot Noirs, which are considered among the best from Chile.

The estate is located just 7 miles from the Pacific Ocean and takes its name from 'Ventolera' a Spanish word that refers to a strong sea wind that sweeps through the Leyda Valley. It is the Humboldt Current's cooling effect as it flows up from the Antarctic along Chile's coastline which strongly influences the vineyards of Ventolera.

Ventolera has a state-of-the-art winery and uses a windmill to produce its own green energy.
