Famille Perrin 'Les Cornuds' Vinsobres 2021
The Famille Perrin 'Les Cornuds' Vinsobres is a red wine blend of Syrah and Grenache that belongs to the Perrin Family of 'Les Crus'; a collection of wines that highlight the diversity of certain Southern Rhône Crus, chosen for their distinctive soils and character. Vinsobres is a magnificent village close to Vaison-la-Romaine at an average altitude of 300 metres. Its terroir of terraces is particularly well suited to Syrah and Grenache, which thrive here. The name of this wine, Les Cornuds, alludes to the hamlet around which the vines grow and which is also the name for a grape picker’s carrying hod. This is a wine that is characterised by its immense freshness, thanks to the altitude of the vineyard and the perfect balance between the Syrah and the Grenache. The Syrah delivers notes of violet, smoked meat and blackberries whilst the Grenache is full bodied, yet not heavy, with notes of black chocolate, cherry and typical Garrigue aromas.
