Edi Simčič Classic Rebula 2022
The Edi Simčič Classic Rebula (or Ribolla Gialla as it's called in Italy) is a reference point for this grape grown in the Brda region of Slovenia. Aged in wood, the wine is quite structured yet still express plenty of fruits and varietal characteristics. Medium deep golden in colour with a slight orange tinge the wine displays classic Rebula character featuring notes of ripe yellow fruits, apples, dried apricots, bread crust and subtle oaky notes. Dry on the palate, good acidity and with a slightly buttery texture gives the wine a good backbone and savoury edge. The finish is long and saline. A very food friendly wine, but also great as an apéritif.
