Bodegas Resalte de Peñafiel Origen de Resalte Crianza 2019
Bodegas Resalte de Peñafiel is an award-winning boutique winery specialising in wines produced from Tempranillo. Established in 2000, it is located in Peñafiel in the heart of the DO Ribera del Duero. They source their grapes from 80 hectares vines - among them some of the finest vineyards in Ribera - which deliver a diversity of terroirs, enabling them to achieve remarkable complexity in their wines. The grapes for the Resalte Crianza are sourced from six villages in the Ribera del Duero DO, from vines with an average age of 30 years old. Each plot has a different soil structure which imparts complexity in the resulting wine. The wine is vinified entirely by gravity, adopting a philosophy of minimal intervention to respect the characteristics of the fruit and its provenance. The wine is then aged for a minimum 14 months in a combination of French and American oak before the final blending and bottling. Bodegas Resalte de Peñafiel Resalte Crianza is a complex wine full of finesse, with fruity notes of blackberry, cherry and liquorice enveloped in exquisitely integrated oak. A full bodied palate with ripe tannins finishes with textured, long lasting depth.
