The Bee-Side Grenache IGP Côtes Catalanes 2022

The Bee-Side Grenache is the second label from Domaine of the Bee and is made from 100% Grenache. Most of the grapes come from the "Bee's" own vineyards but some grapes are sourced from the vines of Jean-Marc Lafage. A medium bodied red wine that is a wonderful cherry red in colour.  The nose displays cherry and raspberry "fruit compote" notes with a touch of local herbs and a hint of oak from its year in barrel. The palate is bursting with expressive red fruits, checked with a distinct mineral freshness, rounded and smooth tannins and notes of fennel that balance the wine perfectly into a long finish.

Orders over £250 are delivered FREE. If you are happy to proceed with an order including the stated delivery charges we will raise a separate invoice for the additional cost and email it to you. Find out more on our Delivery Page

Delivery Times

We aim to to have your delivery with you within 5-7 working days of receiving your order, but often it can be much sooner. If you need your order by a certain date please get in touch and we'll do our best to get it to you as required.

Vintage Availability

We endeavour to display accurate and current vintages on all our wines listed on the website; however, from time to time stocks of the vintage listed do become exhausted. If this is the case with your order we will always contact you to recommend another vintage of the same wine, if it is still available. If the vintage of a wine is important to you then please leave a note at checkout advising us of this.

Stock Availability

As we are retail stockists, selling from our Ledston shop as well as online, it makes it difficult for us to show a 'real-time' inventory of our wines and spirits online. As such, very occasionally, a wine may be out of stock that the website has allowed you to order.

To ensure a timely delivery, we are happy to substitute your order with a similar wine of equal or higher value and at no additional cost to you!

If this is not an acceptable solution please advise us in the 'Add A Comment' section at the checkout.

The Producer Domaine of the Bee | Languedoc Roussillon

Domaine of the Bee is the result of the personal passion of Master of Wine Justin Howard-Sneyd who, following a particularly inspiring visit to Roussillon in 2004, purchased four hectares of vines close to the village of Maury. The vineyards are planted predominantly with Grenache and Carignan and are split...

Very cool label, looking like an old vinyl LP…. I would hesitate to call this the lighter side of Grenache. But this is Roussillon … It certainly smells beautiful. Plum skins and chocolate and bruised raspberries. Warming up the back of the throat with plenty of tannins but delicious, pure, soaring Grenache fruit. So fresh that it fans out in the mouth like a dark-red rose filled with evening dew. The back label also suggest rosemary, and I have to agree – it’s there, scented, lifting the finish. I wouldn’t call it light – even relatively – but it’s damn good.
