Matetic Corralillo Riesling 2021
Corralillo is the name of a very old wine cellar that used to be located in Chile's El Rosario Valley and is where wines of the ancient “País” grape were once made. To honour the tradition of their terroir, Matetic chose the name Corralillo and its symbol for its labels. The Matetic Corralillo Riesling is crafted from grapes grown on the Santo Tomas vineyard, located in the Casablanca Valely, which benefits greatly from its unique marine influence. The grapes were hand-picked and processed in the Matetic gravity-flow winery. The wine was kept on its lees for 3 months. Bright yellow in colour this Riesling displays intense fruit and floral aromas, with notes of apricot and subtle citrus tones and notes of petrol so typical of the grape variety. Great freshness and volume on the palate, mineral and saline, with a long persistent finish.
