Château Ormes de Pez Saint-Estèphe 2017
With distinctive harmonious spicy character, Château Ormes de Pez is true to its terroir. Wine lovers appreciate its opulence, elegance and well-rounded structure. Its powerful, rich and excellent tannic backbone allows graceful ageing. The 2017 Château Ormes de Pez Saint-Estèphe displays nice freshness, good plummy fruit and brightness with red and black-berried fruit making this taste more like Pauillac than St. Estèphe. A blend of Merlot (51%), Cabernet Sauvignon (42%), Cabernet Franc (6%) and Petit Verdot (1%) it is aged in 45% new barrels, with the oak adding an attractive, creamy dimension to the wine. This is an impressive wine, well made and with lovely balance, round tannins, fresh and perfumed on the palate; attractive for early drinking and silky and fresh on the finish.
