Château d'Armailhac 5éme Cru Classé Pauillac 2014
Château d’Armailhac wines are made from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Petit Verdot in proportions which differ according to the vintage, since the ideal conditions for the expression of each terroir and grape variety will vary depending on the year. The Château d'Armailhac 5éme Cru Classé 2014 is a classic vintage, producing a beautifully coloured wine, deep red, fresh in style and with a well-defined, solid structure. A varietal blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (50%), Merlot (36%), Cabernet Franc (12%) and Petit Verdot (2%), the powerful nose displays a subtle mix of ripe red fruit and the toast and vanilla notes of attractive oak, now beginning to merge into the texture. The tannins are silky, the overall impression one of great class, with attractive fruit set off by subtle oak, building to a long and elegant finish.
