DropWorks Barrel Drop Rum
Barrel Drop Rum is the first barrel-matured rum to join the line-up of British-Rums made from scratch at the DropWorks Distillery in Nottinghamshire. Made with only the finest raw ingredients, including fermentations using the world-first wild trinity yeast that you won’t find anywhere else, other than DropWorks Rums, the liquid is batch-distilled before being matured in a variety of oak casks. American Oak imparts subtle vanilla and spice with a hint of orange peel. The Portuguese Oak introduces jammy fruit, prunes and plums. DropWorks own unique American/Portuguese hybrid barrel creation combines the best elements of the both Oaks. Finally Virgin American Oak rounds off the finish, with a big hit of vanilla and cinder toffee. This cask packs a punch and is used sparingly so as to not overwhelm the final blend. No additives, flavourings, colourings or sugar this hand-crafted rum offers layers of complex spice and dried fruit notes all added in naturally through select oak barrel maturation.
