Invincible Natural Mystic Vinho Verde 2020
The Invincible 'Natural Mystic' Vinho Verde is a white field blend composed of Loureiro, Arinto and Alvarinho grapes harvested from various vineyards near Amarante. The must is cool-fermented in inox and left on the lees post-fermentation. After blending the different parcels, the wine is bottled early with some pétillance. "Talc-edged, with lime flower and zesty lemon and lime aromatics. Ticking the classic boxes, it is (just) off-dry, with slight pétillance. Deftly balanced residual sugar (4.4g/l) gently softens the edges, without detracting from its juiciness. Sourced from around Amarante, well inland, the fruit intensity (citrus with delicate nectarine bite) makes for a friendly style with a zippy finish.
