Famille Perrin Côtes-du-Rhône Villages 2021
Famille Perrin is one of the most recognisable names in the Southern Rhône and the family manage extensive vineyard holdings and grower partnerships which stretch across the region, from Vinsobres to the Ventoux. Only 20% of the Côtes-du-Rhône region is permitted to add the word ‘Villages’ to its label, which signifies the very best vineyard sites within the region. A blend of Grenache (70%) and Syrah (30%), this Côtes-du-Rhône Villages is made using the same viticultural and vinification techniques as those employed at Château de Beaucastel. This wine delivers excellent value and is characterised by notes of pure redcurrant fruit and Provençal herbs balanced by ripe and sleek tannins. Complex and well-balanced on the palate, notes of redcurrant, crushed strawberries, tapenade and tobacco linger on the finish.
