Downpour Scottish Dry Gin
Downpour Scottish Dry Gin is the flagship expression from North Uist Distillery and was named ‘Spirit of the Year’ at the 2023 London Spirits Competition. Downpour Scottish Dry Gin is made using twice the concentration by weight of botanicals compared to the industry average, resulting in a stronger’ Downpour’ of flavour. This expression is a big, bold, citrus forward gin with long spiced notes to finish. Wild Hebridean heather gives an overall honeyed note to this deliciously smooth gin, with each batch named after the place on the island the heather was collected from. On the nose there are fresh aromas of juniper, citrus fruit and spices. The palate is juniper dominant, complemented with floral spice. The finish is full-bodied, with aromatic complexity.
