Maison Roche de Bellene Chardonnay Vieilles Vignes 2023
Maison Roche de Bellene was founded in 2008 by Nicolas Potel. Located in Burgundy`s Cote de Beaune, the estate is working towards full biodynamic status and currently they use a number of natural and sustainable processes to produce their wines. Nicolas works with a number of growers and has an old-vine strategy, with the oldest vines well over 100 years old. Nicolas is one of the most exciting ‘new generation’ winemakers in Burgundy producing exceptional vintages year after year. Matured in French oak barrels, the Maison Roche de Bellene Chardonnay Vieilles Vignes opens with aromas of fresh citrus fruits, green apple, and subtle floral notes, complemented by hints of hazelnut and light oak. On the palate, the wine is well-rounded, with bright acidity and a creamy texture. Flavours of lemon, apple, and a touch of minerality are balanced by a delicate oak influence, leading to a fresh and smooth finish.
