Bouvet Ladubay 1851 Rosé Brut NV
The Bouvet Ladubay 1851 Rosé Brut is a testament to the Loire Valley's prowess in producing world-class sparkling wines. Named for the year the house was founded in Saumur, this Rosé is crafted with the same commitment to the Méthode Traditionnelle (Traditional Method) as the great wines of Champagne, resulting in a fine, persistent mousse and superb complexity. The 1851 Rosé is made from the Cabernet Franc grape variety (often blended with a small amount of Grolleau), the key red grape of the Loire, which lends this Rosé a much more delicate, crisp red-fruit profile than many other sparkling Rosés. Delicate salmon pink in colour with elegant, persistent bubbles, the 1851 Rosé displays attractive aromas of fresh red berries, notably raspberry and wild strawberry, complemented by subtle notes of vineyard peach and a touch of rose petal. Clean, racy, and dry, the palate mirrors the nose with juicy red fruit, excellent acidity, and a creamy texture that carries through to a long, refreshing finish.
