Compass Box Orchard House Blended Malt Scotch Whisky
The Compass Box Orchard House is a Blended Malt Whisky (made with 100% single malts, no grain whisky) dedicated entirely to exploring the beautiful, bright, and fruity side of Scotch whisky. John Glaser and the Compass Box team created this expression to showcase the clean, spirit-driven character often found in whiskies from Speyside and the Highlands, deliberately steering clear of heavy smoke or dark sherry notes. This is a remarkably fresh and approachable dram, perfect for those who appreciate whiskies with vibrant energy and a clear, elegant profile. It's the taste of a sun-drenched fruit orchard in a bottle. The aroma is immediately expressive with dominant notes of crisp green apple, ripe pear, and honeyed malt. Underlying aromas of lemon zest and white grape add complexity. On the palate the mouthfeel is smooth and gently waxy, carrying flavours of vanilla cream, honey, and fresh-cut hay. The prominent fruit notes - particularly apple and pear skin - are clean and refreshing, with just a hint of ginger spice on the mid-palate. The finish is clean, and satisfyingly sweet, finishing with a lingering whisper of honey.
