Champagne Charles Heidsieck Rosé Millésimé 2008

Champagne Charles Heidsieck Rosé Millésimé 2008 comprises 11 meticulously selected Grands and Premiers Crus. This vintage presents a blend of 63% Pinot Noir - including 9% red wines - and 37% Chardonnay. The dosage, significantly lower than in previous vintages, is designed to set off the wine’s tart, thirst-quenching character in its early youthful freshness. Comprising 11 meticulously selected Grands and Premiers Crus, the Rosé Millésimé 2008 presents a blend of 63% Pinot Noir - including 9% red wines - and 37% Chardonnay. The initial nose is saline and mineral, underlined by a hint of toast and smoke. Notes of citrus, pink grapefruit, blood orange and red current gradually follow. A discreet fruitiness with more intense notes will be unveiled with time: Morello cherries, liquorice and black tea. On the palate the exuberant mouthfeel is cubic with the typical vivacity of the vintage. The finish is long and creamy, with extremely delicate effervescence at the very end. It is paradoxical to find a wine of such great freshness paired with a structure of such restrained power. The 2008 rosé will always hold a special place in the Charles Heidsieck range of vintage rosés, with an exceptional longevity taking it to culmination in the second half of the 21st century.

Delivery Times

We aim to to have your delivery with you within 5-7 working days of receiving your order, but often it can be much sooner. If you need your order by a certain date please get in touch and we'll do our best to get it to you as required.

Vintage Availability

We endeavour to display accurate and current vintages on all our wines listed on the website; however, from time to time stocks of the vintage listed do become exhausted. If this is the case with your order we will always contact you to recommend another vintage of the same wine, if it is still available. If the vintage of a wine is important to you then please leave a note at checkout advising us of this.

Stock Availability

As we are retail stockists, selling from our Ledston shop as well as online, it makes it difficult for us to show a 'real-time' inventory of our wines and spirits online. As such, very occasionally, a wine may be out of stock that the website has allowed you to order.

To ensure a timely delivery, we are happy to substitute your order with a similar wine of equal or higher value and at no additional cost to you!

If this is not an acceptable solution please advise us in the 'Add A Comment' section at the checkout.
