Tournon Mathilda Blanc 2017
Tournon Mathilda Blanc is a white wine blend of Viognier (75%) and Marsanne (25%) grapes. Named for Michel’s daughter Mathilde, it is also a reference to the Australia bush ballad “Waltzing Matilda”, often thought of as Australia’s unofficial anthem.
Aged entirely in stainless steel tank on lees for 5 months this wine is pale gold in colour with a fresh, crisp and fruity nose. Supple and fresh on the palate with a crisp long finish reminiscent of stone fruits and wonderful minerality. This wine offers complexity, depth and weight yet leaves the palate refreshed and ready for another sip.
