Bernhard Huber Malterdinger Weiss 2019
Bernhard Huber's Malterdinger White is a really interesting blend of Weißburgunder (Pinot Blanc) and Chardonnay grapes producing a wine that is smoky, fruity and racy. A touch of smoke frames pungent lemon pith aromas, corseted, stony flavours that release into melon and fine grapefruit. You can see Julian Hubers love for taut restrained lightly reductive Chardonnay here, while the Weißburgunder provides a backdrop of white fleshed fruits and fine spice.
