Medici Ermete 'Phermento' Lambrusco 2023
The Medici Ermete 'Phermento' is made up of 100% Lambrusco di Sorbara grapes, which are grown in Medici Ermete’s Soliera Estate, located in the north of the Modena Province. At the winery, the grapes were carefully selected, followed by careful rosé vinification of the Lambrusco di Sorbara grapes. Alcoholic fermentation took place with wild yeasts in stainless steel tanks to retain the purity of the fruit and the nuances of the terroir. Once the initial alcoholic fermentation was complete, the vinification continued with the addition of must to initiate the refermentation and ‘presa di spuma’ in the bottle, capturing the gentle sparkle and the richness in texture from the lees. This wine was closed with a crown cap to retain the freshness. A dry, fruity and approachable sparkling rosé with a fine perlage. Fragrant notes of raspberry, strawberry and wild red berries are complemented by an elegant hint of rose petals through to a refreshing finish.
