Bobby's Schiedam Jenever - 70cl | 38% ABV.
Bobby’s Schiedam Jenever is a modern interpretation of a classic jenever. The creators Sebastiaan and David, have brought the classic ‘kruik’ bottle to the 21st century with a strong and modern interpretation of its shape and made it in a beautiful green glass that has been screen printed with the traditional Indonesian Ikat pattern. Jenever is generally seen as the father of gin, and is produced with a base of malt wine. It is often distilled in pot stills, giving it a malty, weighty spirit similar to whisky. This Jenever is flavoured with cardamom, juniper, cubeb peppercorns, lemongrass, and ginger. The result is a characterful spirit, with a rich juniper profile, and plenty of citrusy zing, ginger freshness and earthy spice. It works just like a gin and is perfect paired with tonic, but is also complex enough to drink neat or over ice.
