Domaine Evremond 'Edition I' Classic Cuvée NV | Gift Boxed

Domaine Evremond 'Edition I' Classic Cuvée NV is an English Sparkling Wine made from a varietal blend of Pinot Noir (55%), Chardonnay (35%) and Pinot Meunier (10%) grapes. The wine is fermented and matured entirely in stainless steel vats and undergoes malolactic fermentation. Ageing takes place on the lees for three years. The Classic Cuvée expresses the heart and soul of Domaine Evremond. The Kentish terroir, with its chalky soils and oceanic influence, is expressed through the wine’s minerality and precision.

“The NV Brut Classic Cuvée Edition I is the inaugural release of Champagne Taittinger's English sparkling wine project founded in 2014, made from vines planted in 2017 in chalk and flint soils in Kent. It is based on the 2020 vintage with around 25% of reserve wines dating to the tiny first vintage of 2018 and the first proper vintage in 2019, all fermented and aged in stainless steel only, undergoing full malolactic conversion. The wine is a blend (...) reflecting the current plantings at the 69-hectare estate. A citric, bright lemon and green apple freshness defines the lively nose of the wine. More air allows lemony Viennoiserie to peep through, as well as an ozone breeze. Fine, creamy bubbles immediately distinguish the slender palate, where more lemon freshness is bedded in the smoothness of that exemplary mousse. An impressive and elegant debut, svelte and clean-cut, especially considering the Pinot Noir dominance of the wine. Châpeau.”
93 points, Anne Krebiehl MW, Vinous, October 2024

The label for Domaine Evremond Classic Cuvée was inspired by archived imagery of the figure who gave the estate its name: Charles de Saint-Évremond. The label’s oval shape mirrors the frame of his 1659 portrait by Pieter van Gunst, while the estate’s emblem, the cinquefoil (a heraldic five-petalled flower), is fashioned after Charles de Saint-Évremond’s crest.

Delivery Times

We aim to to have your delivery with you within 5-7 working days of receiving your order, but often it can be much sooner. If you need your order by a certain date please get in touch and we'll do our best to get it to you as required.

Vintage Availability

We endeavour to display accurate and current vintages on all our wines listed on the website; however, from time to time stocks of the vintage listed do become exhausted. If this is the case with your order we will always contact you to recommend another vintage of the same wine, if it is still available. If the vintage of a wine is important to you then please leave a note at checkout advising us of this.

Stock Availability

As we are retail stockists, selling from our Ledston shop as well as online, it makes it difficult for us to show a 'real-time' inventory of our wines and spirits online. As such, very occasionally, a wine may be out of stock that the website has allowed you to order.

To ensure a timely delivery, we are happy to substitute your order with a similar wine of equal or higher value and at no additional cost to you!

If this is not an acceptable solution please advise us in the 'Add A Comment' section at the checkout.
